Before starting, please make sure you have read both the World Weavers FAQ and the FAQ for the world you would like to join. Information on the worlds of World Weavers can be found here.

Next, create a character concept and submit it to us. Someone from the appropriate world will contact you about your character, and how to get started in that particular world.

Step One

Decide what genre or world you'd like to write in. To learn more about our worlds, visit the Worlds of World Weavers page. Note that some worlds have their own process for joining, one that may be somewhat different than what's described here. If so, follow their instructions.

Step Two

Create a character concept, and decide what position, job, or class best suits your character concept. Read the world FAQs (available on the Worlds page) for examples of character roles for specific worlds. Please be aware that not all character roles are available for beginning writers, and that some roles may already be filled. If you need help, please ask the Admin of your chosen world.

Step Three

Write a biography, or bio, for your character, and send it to the World Admins. Remember that your bio is the means by which other writers can get a feel for your character, and the more information you include in your bio, the easier it is for other writers to properly write for your character.
